Life is a kaleidoscope of people, adventures, experiences, learning and fun. Like a kaleidoscope, this course presents colorful, varying and fun painting focused projects that will acquaint students with basic techniques and vocabulary to engage them in thinking about their own self-expression through art. Topics covered will include landscapes, still life, portraiture, and abstract. Students will be exposed to a variety of mark making tools and explore different paint mediums, including watercolor, tempera, acrylics, and use of a variety of surfaces including paper, canvas, board, and recycled objects.

Classes are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. OPAL School and instructors determine this minimum enrollment number. These cancellations may be made up to three days prior to the first day of the class. Students will be notified of the cancellation by email or by telephone. Full tuition will be refunded by mailed check within two weeks of cancellation notification. Students may opt to receive credit for a future class session in lieu of a refund.
