Fundamentals of Drawing and Painting

Would you like to learn to draw and paint? Were you an artist in your previous life and would like to get started again? Take an evening class with Kathy Hirsh. Drawing and painting is not about talent, it’s a learned set of skills. One of the most important skills is learning to see with an artist’s eye. Students will work in black and white and color: charcoal, pencil, pastel, cut paper and acrylic. Kathy has fun exercises using still life and photographs to unlock your hidden artist.

Classes are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. OPAL School and instructors determine this minimum enrollment number. These cancellations may be made up to three days prior to the first day of the class. Students will be notified of the cancellation by email or by telephone. Full tuition will be refunded by mailed check within two weeks of cancellation notification. Students may opt to receive credit for a future class session in lieu of a refund.
