These days we have an opportunity to create art in so many ways. I work from both life and digital imagery. My process involves my phone, my iPad, many layers (both digital and real), and lots of oil paint. I'm interested in creating an image that has never existed.

Let me help you learn:
-How to take a good photo with the camera you have with you-usually your phone
-How to edit your photos: on an iPad or a computer. How to combine. photos and artwork.
-Most important, how to not be a slave to your photos. The digital image is just a jumping off point for painting. The most important aspect of a painting is the composition. We will do numerous exercises to help you create a satisfying composition.
-Our paintings can be on the iPad or on canvas
-And we can finish off the class with learning how to photograph our work.

Classes are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. OPAL School and instructors determine this minimum enrollment number. These cancellations may be made up to three days prior to the first day of the class. Students will be notified of the cancellation by email or by telephone. Full tuition will be refunded by mailed check within two weeks of cancellation notification. Students may opt to receive credit for a future class session in lieu of a refund.
