Drawing and Painting the Portrait and Figure: Thursdays, 9:30am-12:30pm
Drawing and Painting the Portrait and Figure
Instructor:
Kathy Hirsh
Learning to draw the face and figure gives you drawing skills that carry over into all areas of art.
A sequential drawing method that really works
Learn to measure and see shape relationships with accurate proportions
Create a drawing with sensitivity and feeling
Learn to see value relationships and create form
Basic anatomy (I used to be a medical illustrator)
We will work from a live model every class.
If you choose to paint, a limited palette will be used to explore color, as students gain knowledge and confidence in color-mixing and brushwork.
This class is open to all levels of experience. Beginners are welcome and will receive plenty of individualized instruction at the easel. This is an
