This workshop explores printmaking utilizing a plexiglass matrix, with focuses on dry-point mark making and experimental monoprint processes. Students will learn a variety of techniques to produce editions and monoprints, as well as processes that can shape their art
practice at large. This is a process-based workshop with no limitations placed on subject matter or content, but students are encouraged to work from their own lexicon of imagery and interests; our focus is on finding new ways to make an impression or reinvent an image.

Easels, horses, boards are provided for use during the session. Bring your own materials - whatever you want to work with, charcoal, pencils, pastels, paint, ipad, modeling clay, etc.

Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese art form in which gold is used to repair broken ceramics. The practice of Kintsugi highlights the break rather than erasing it and emphasizes that the break is what makes the ceramics more valuable and beautiful. In this beginner’s workshop, participants will learn the basic technique of Kintsugi on a small porcelain plate or a small ceramic plate to understand the fundamentals of this process.
